Jackie qualified with The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 2001 and went on to qualify as a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 2003. In gaining her CTA qualification Jackie was awarded the Spofforth medal for achieving the highest mark in the paper on the inheritance tax, trusts, and estates.

Jackie is the tax consultancy manager at Wells advising on all aspects of direct taxation including personal and corporate planning with a specific focus on the issues surrounding the use of Limited Liability Partnerships.

In addition to advising clients on mitigating their future tax liabilities, she also deals with all of the firm’s HM Revenue & Customs investigations and has represented a client at the First Tier Tax Tribunal. Jackie has also written for LexisNexis on their Tolley Guidance product which is aimed at providing tax professionals with relevant, timely advice on taxation.

Gaining her qualifications has involved a lot of hard work, but has opened up numerous interesting and rewarding opportunities as a part of the team at Wells Associates. Jackie became a Partner at Wells Associates in October 2013.

Jackie lives in Hastings with her husband, daughter, son, and two cats.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and sometimes manages to fit in a round or two of golf!
